Our minds are a dangerous place and Tandy learns that the hard way.
We start the episode with Ty and Tandy being found on the beach by none other than Nathan Bowen and Billy Johnson.
Graduation
Then we move onto Tyrone’s graduation day from the police department. Tandy gives a ravishing speech on how Tyrone is her best friend and hero. Even Agent Connors is in attendance:
Ice run
After telling her father not to hurt her mother, Tandy goes outside and Tyrone asks if she wants to go with him for ice.
We learn that Tandy has moved to New York where she is is a Prima Ballerina.
When they get to the store though they are confronted by a customer and a store clerk who make racist comments.
The shop keeper sees Tyrone’s gun and pulls his own. Tyrone tells the shop keeper he’s a cop and Tandy is getting his badge for him.
As Tandy goes for the badge, the shop keeper shoots at her and their powers are sparked sending them each flying in opposite directions. The divine pairing has been born.
Switching scenes
Before Tandy is able to access the situation we end up in a different place, her moms house and she is getting ready to head into work, for Roxxon. We also learn that Tandy’s mom left her father ten years before and he lives in Silicon Valley now.
Bit of fun info
Tandy is said to work at the Roxxon office in New York, this same office is where Elektra was infiltrating in Daredevil S.2.
Roxxon rig
We learn from Mina, who is now the head of the rig, like her father, that Tandy only got the job through her mothers contacts and she doesn’t want her there.
Low and behold, Tyrone is also working there, he also got his job through Billy, who wanted him to have more than he had,
Tyrone and Tandy go down to the over heating core where Mina once again tells her to leave.
As the rig starts to explode Tyrone and Tandy touch and once again their powers awaken the divine pairing.
The truth finally shows
Next we are shown that Tandy is in the ambulance and being drugged by none other than Lia to keep her out.
We also learn that Andre is a part of the whole thing.
Also, we continually are seeing someone switching Tandy’s albums to their second side.
No wonder Tandy has a hard time trusting people. Everyone she has ever trusted except for Tyrone has broken her trust.
Next dream
Tandy is petitioning to save the shore birds when she bumps into Liam, who is looking happy and is dating none other than Makayla.
After getting him to sign the petition, Tandy makes off with his wallet. When the police start chasing her though, she jumps into a car that none other than Tyrone is stealing, using the technique he saw his mother use when she stole the car to get away from the gangs in episode 4.
Tandy pulls a knife and tells him that she’s going with him. In the car she mentions both Liam and Makayla, both of whom she doesn’t know. She also mentions Tyrone’s name not knowing how she knows it.
This is the first time we see her starting to realize something is wrong. She also keeps seeing a strange man no one else can see, she is also hearing sirens and seeing ambulances.
Again at the end, the divine pairing is born.

OLIVIA HOLT
Tandy wakes up
Tandy wakes up and sees both Lia and Andre.
Andre has powers
Andre uses his powers and takes Tandy to the record store. He was the man changing the records and who Tandy was seeing.
The night of the explosion, he had tried to kill himself but had been saved by the radiation. He learned by causing others to lose all their hope and live in pain, that he didn’t hurt himself anymore.
The escape
Tandy escapes and finds Tyrone at the church. After telling him everything they call O’Reilly and go to the center where Andre and Lia work.
They find Andre stuffing money into his bag and when they confront him, he shoots and kills Tyrone.
Tandy keeps telling Tyrone she is sorry and that she didn’t mean to get him hurt.
The truth
We are transported back to the record store where we see Tandy holding Tyrone’s body.
It was all a cruel trick by Andre to break her.
Tandy is taken back through all the stories she was shown and in each and everyone she is told she is to blame for everything that goes wrong.
Mina blames her for the explosion, her dad blames her for ruining everyone’s fun at Tyrone’s party, and so on.
As the episode ends, Tandy hands her power, the physical manifestation of her hope, over to Andre, and is taken out of the ambulance by some men.
She has lost all hope and belief in herself.
Final thoughts
This show gets more powerful each week. The first season and on has shown us how racism is still alive and well.
This season though adds in physical, emotional and sexual abuse and tops it off with the truth about human trafficking.
Never does it shy away from the cold hard truth and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon.
Only complaint I have, Tandy and Tyrone have not gotten together yet. The divine pairing needs to be together in mind, body and spirit.
