Abbott Elementary is a favorite among So Many Shows.

What is Abbott Elementary?

Background on the show:

Created by Quinta Brunson, who also stars in the show as Janine Teagues, Abbott Elementary is a mockumentary-style sitcom. A group of camera operators follows the school’s teachers, capturing the constant hijinks that occur throughout the school. The school itself is financially strained but attempts to educate its students to the best of its abilities. 

Abbott Elementary premiered on December 7, 2021. The series airs live on ABC, and viewers can stream previous episodes and seasons on demand through Hulu. With Season 5 currently filming, 71 episodes are available.

Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues.
Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie.
Janelle James as Ava Coleman.
Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti.
Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill.
Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard.
William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson.
 
The main cast of Abbott Elementary has been fantastic. And to sweeten the pot, there have been some fun cameos as well during the first three seasons. In one episode, Philadelphia Eagles players Jason Kelce, Jalen Hurts, and Brandon Graham all appeared, joining a Zoom meeting.
 
Bradley Cooper appears in another episode, but the kids did not recognize him until he spoke in his Guardians of the Galaxy character’s voice, that of Rocket Raccoon. Every cameo and guest star has been excellent, including Keegan-Michael Key, Questlove, and Kevin Hart.

Abbott Elementary has an average tomato score of 99% and an average popcorn score of 88%.

Favorite Character?

So, who is the best character? There can be numerous discussions about that topic. However, I know a fan favorite is Ava Coleman, who is the principal at the school. She is not your typical principal either. Check out these clips:
