Awesome Con 2019 – Quick Review!

April 26th through April 28th, approximately 80 bazillion people headed to our nation’s capitol to visit the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Why? To check out Awesome Con 2019, of course!

Ok, 80 bazillion might be a bit of an exaggeration – but A LOT of people did show up for one of my personal favorite conventions.

So… What Was There?

Tons of vendors and exhibitors – really something for everyone, cosplayers galore, all your favorite celebrities and artists – and most with the ability to either grab an autograph or photo opportunity – and some with great panels to participate in.

Oh, and Future Con (all the cool scientific stuff) and even Awesome Con JR (for all the kids – big and small!)

Here’s just a small list of the celebrities, panels, and activities that kept fans enthralled…

Guests: Cary Elwes, Jon Bernthal, Anthony Michael Hall, Ralph Macchio, Mike Colter, Lou Ferrigno, John Barrowman, even Sgt. Slaughter! Boasting over 100 didn’t guests – There was someone somewhere to fangirl over!

Panels: Weird Al, Karate Kid, The Office, Lou Ferrigno, Star Trek: Next Generation, Tara Strong, Princess Bride, Riverdale – AND MORE!

Activities: Pro Wrestling Fan Panel, Robots in Space, “Shipping” in Anime, Ranking the Doctors, Kids and Adult Costume Contest, Video game tournaments, We are Gaymers, Cosplay instruction, and even opportunities to create your own superhero symbol!
