FROM: S3 teaser footage, fall release confirmed

Take a moment to share:

FROM is returning with frightening new engagement.

MGM+ has released a teaser video for long-awaited season 3 of FROM. Fans of the horror series have been chomping at the bit for news about season 3. The teaser below confirms that a fall 2024 release is planned for the new installment. MGM+ shares the news as part of a “Halfway to Halloween” celebration. That’s right, summer is not yet upon us, but the calendar now brings us one half closer to Halloween.

Fall sounds like a fitting time to dive into the next reveals in the creepy town in FROM. The town works together to fight mysterious human-looking “monsters” who roam the grounds at night. All the while the town splits its lodging between the town limits and Colony House, which is further out. Actually, there is also a third location as rough rouser Randall has been banished to the bus that rolled into town last season.

Mysteries abound

Once someone enters “Fromville”, they are unable to leave, or are they? Tabitha makes a mysterious journey in season 2 that lands her somewhere we have not seen before. In fact, both time and place are mysterious factors in the FROM universe. Other highlights from season 2 include acting “sheriff” Boyd Stevens fighting back against one of the monsters. Also of great interest was the contents of a cave visited by Tabitha, Victor and Jade. Victor has a revelation about family and newcomer Elgin is somehow privy to information that no one has actually shared with him. The list of mysteries and eerie occurrences is lengthy, which leaves viewers feverishly theorizing as to what is really happening int the town. It’s addicting, for sure!

A new type of encounter

So far, one of the biggest mysteries has been the “monsters” that roam at night. These figures are notably dressed in clothes that appear to be from prior decades. They talk in season 1 and 2 but eventually wonder away if they are unable to breach a physical perimeter with the townspeople. If a perimeter is breached, it has historically been too late for survival. The monsters revert from a human like bodies to hairless creatures with notably sharp fangs. Traditionally, it has been “game over” if someone comes in contact with one of the monsters. So far, one exception has been Boyd who boasted a mysterious blood “infection” at the time of approach. Another anomaly was someone who ended up dangerously tethered to a tree instead of being devoured.

That brings me to the “chilling” (as MGM+ describes it) teaser for S3. We see some of the monsters from prior seasons speaking and interacting with Boyd in close quarters. I emphasize, interacting and not immediately devouring him. Also chilling are the torturous screams coming from someone Boyd can see in the video, but we cannot.

Take a look and comment with your latest theories on what is really happening in FROM.
