Trouble conceiving
We learn that Edward and Diana Spellman were having trouble conceiving and that’s when good ole Lucifer steps in and lends himself to the cause.
The worst part of the whole thing with Sabrina’s parents is that in the flashback scenes to Sabrina’s birth, they show two babies and they have yet to explain who the second baby is.
Blood doesn’t mean family
After Lucifer drops the bomb on Sabrina that he is actually her father, Sabrina is lost.
But she quickly remembers the utmost truth, no matter if she has Edwards blood running in her veins, he was her father and the Spellmans are her family.
Becoming a queen
She also learns she is to become a weapon of Lucifer and sit on the throne with him which will open the gates of hell for all demons to invade the world. But, Sabrina has other plans.
Masquerade
On the day of the coronation, Sabrina puts on a rather spectacular song and dance called Masquerade where everyone had masks on.
I must say that Kiernan is an excellent singer.
Meanwhile..
The Scooby gang is down in the mines where Harvey is drawing symbols to keep the beasts of hell from unleashing themselves on the world.
Gotta catch them all
After her spectacular dance number, the others take off their masks and use magic to hold Lucifer in place.
Sabrina then tosses the Acheron Configuration her father created and captures the dark lord in it.
But..
The dark lord is stronger than the witch version of a pokeball.
Nick sacrifices himself
After losing Sabrina’s trust because she found out that the dark lord had asked him to befriend her and bring her to him, Nick proves he isn’t all bad.
Lilith says that the only way to hold him is to trap him in a living body.
Nick volunteers and Sabrina sadly agrees and traps Lucifer inside Nick.
Nick collapses and Sabrina is heartbroken.
Back to hell
With the help of Harvey, who I must say doesn’t look all sad about carrying a mostly dead Nick, Lilith takes Nick along with The dark lords crown on and goes through the portal to hell down in the mines.
Being with friends
As the season wraps up we see Sabrina, Harvey, Roz and Theo having dinner at Cereberus’s.
Their plans for their new hero status, go to hell and save Sabrina’s boyfriend, Nick.
