Sabrina!
What happens when a teenage girl gets the power of the Gods? Well Sabrina Spellman did and things got nuts.
First she killed angels then she brought back her dead friends. I mean, all in a day’s work right?
Lesson by Harvey
Next, we get a speech from Harvey about how she looked like Jean Gray: AKA The Dark Phoenix over at Marvel while in super Sabrina mode. The timing was great because of the upcoming movie.
Sabrina isn’t really enjoying the comic history but she listens none the less.
Eye sight restored
The four amigos, Sabrina, Harvey, Roz and Theo are hanging out in the girls bathroom and Sabrina brings back Roz’s eye sight.
Sabrina is taking her godly powers quite well.
Prudence isn’t so happy
After getting in her fathers good graces by bringing him his baby girl, which he has renamed Judith she has dinner with him.
She is happy to have finally gained the Blackwood name but it doesn’t last long.
Prudence learns that on Judith’s sixteenth birthday she will be forced to marry Judas to “cleanse” the Blackwood bloodline according to Faustus.
Basically the man just told Prudence that she was a blemish on the family tree that needed removed. This also brings with it the truth she would never see the perks of being a Blackwood.
Creating a doppelgänger
Sabrina, who now thinks that her having her powers is part of the prophecy of the dark gods resurrection decides she doesn’t want the powers, so she creates a doppelgänger from a Mandrake root (Harry Potter fan going crazy here).
Evil Sabrina
We all want friends right? Well, mandrake Sabrina did and when someone wouldn’t be her’s, in her terms I might add, she put them in a cocoon to make doppelgängers of them.
Theo finds his inner hero
This was amazing to watch. Theo wakes up and literally smashes in the heads of his and the Scooby gangs mandrakes because for some reason evil Sabrina only wanted to be friends with Sabrina’s friends.
Showdown
In order to take out her doppelgänger, Sabrina, who is now powerless, decides to have a old west showdown.
Like any good western, Sabrina cheats and shoots first, killing her doppelgänger but not before a touching scene where they talk about just wanting to belong.
Prophecy fulfilled
Instead of not causing the rising of the dark lord, Sabrina actually causes it.
See, she didn’t do all of her homework and by killing “herself” she ultimately finished the prophecy.
The prophecy stated she had to do a dark exorcism, bring back the dead, perform a miracle and kill her self.
Checklist complete and the dark lord rises.
Lucifer has returned
The dark lord rises in the nude, which I have to admit was one of the best parts of all this.
Also, he keeps all his clothes stashed at Dorians place. I think Dorian has the hots for his lord.
Blackwood in trouble
Lucifer isn’t happy with Blackwood for being a traitor and creating The Judas Society and kicks him out of the church of night.
Poisoning the congregation
Father Blackwood, who doesn’t tell anyone he’s been excommunicated, holds mass and poisoning of the congregation and then runs off with his two small babies, Judas and Judith.
Reality sets in
After Prudence rushes to save her friends and as many classmates as possible with the help of Zelda, her and Ambrose decide to go on a hunt for Father Blackwood and save Judas and Judith.
I love both Ambrose and Prudence but I don’t like that their trying to force them into being a couple. I would rather see Ambrose find another boyfriend and them continue their ability to have all representation.
