Take a moment to share:

Are you ready for Awesome Con 2019?

Hooray! Awesome Con returns THIS WEEKEND to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center! All the fun and excitement begins on Friday April 26th – Do you have your tickets yet?

Awesome Con 2019

What is it?

Celebrity guests and panels, autograph and photo opportunities, video games, costume contests, exhibitors, and so much more – It’s an an opportunity for tv/movie/book/comic/entertainment fans to come together and celebrate everything AWESOME in one place!

We covered Awesome Con last year and had a total blast – and this year – you will too. Check out our recap and photo gallery from last year’s convention.

Perhaps you’d like to see Val Kilmer or Tom Payne. Maybe Tim Curry or the cast from Karate Kid? What about Lou Ferrigno or Cary Elwes? Well, here’s your chance! (And that’s not counting the other 100+ guests coming to the Con!)

Come to learn how to cosplay or about searching for life in the universe – just a couple of the different programming options available! Perhaps you’re a pro at Mario Kart or Mortal Kombat… Fancy a game of Cards Against Humanity? So many different gaming options for everyone!

Not just for the adults…

Don’t forget to bring the kids! There’s also “Awesome Con Jr” – dedicated to the kids coming to the show!

Toys, animals, martial arts, costume parades and more – A dedicated area of the convention specifically for kids. Bring the whole family!

You heard it right – it’s not all science fiction at Awesome Con as they bring you “Future Con!”

Fuel your inner scientist: Come learn more about the universe, hear from a NASA Administrator, chat about biometric technology, or dive into the genetics of Harry Potter and wizarding!

Pride Alley

Geeks OUT and Awesome Con come together to bring you Pride Alley – a dedicated part of Artist’s Alley along with events, panels, and discussions uniting LGBTQ fans with various activities and fun.

Find out more about LGBTQ in the entertainment world and strengthening the geek culture!
