Colony Cancelled by USA Network
As reported by Deadline about 45 minutes ago… Colony has been cancelled.
WHY?
Viewers. Bottom line – Colony never had the viewers it should have. A well written and compelling story accompanied by some fantastic actors… Even on a cable network – It should have had more viewers. Sci-Fi shows are expensive to produce and without the viewers to back it up, it was inevitable that this day would come.
CAN ANYTHING BE DONE?

It’s not likely to see this show picked up by another network, but it doesn’t mean the hardcore fans won’t try. There are some ideas floating around and as soon as we see something significant, we’ll report it here so you can join in on the effort to get Colony a 4th season somewhere else.
A PERSONAL NOTE
As a lot of you know… I “play” Proxy Snyder on twitter. A fan based (almost parody) account that I have used to tweet about the show since it’s inception. Peter Jacobson graciously gave his permission to do so – and it’s been SO MUCH fun to play the big, bad proxy. I want to use this space to personally thank him for being so kind and playing along with me on the Proxy Snyder twitter ride. He’s always been there to joke around, chat about the show, and do a number of interviews with me and some of the So Many Shows gang. Thank you, Peter – You’re a class act and I appreciate all you’ve done.
To my buddy, Tory Kittles. I may have never been a Broussard fan (I only collaborate), but you’ve been so much fun in our “battles” online. You’re an amazing actor, a great guy, and even though you don’t keep your darn shirt on – I’m going to miss you on screen.
To all of the other Colony fans that interacted with my silly twitter account… THANK YOU! What a fun ride it’s been over the last 3 years. Some of you cussing me out. Some of you promoting my pro-collaboration agenda. And a lot of you just having a good time along with me discussing the show. YOU made the crazy account something – and you made it fun. I’ve met some amazing people because of this show – THANK YOU!
Finally – in case you didn’t know – So Many Shows was actually created because of Colony. A whole bunch of us “mega fans” got together and decided we needed to cover TV and do fun coverage like we did with Colony. This show will always have a special place in our hearts. THANK YOU COLONY!
WHAT NOW?
The season finale now becomes the series finale this upcoming Wednesday. Sit down, watch it, enjoy the show. They’ve put together ONE HELL OF A FINALE. You really do not want to miss it.
