Blood and Treasure Episode 11
On the last episode, the team took out Farouk, we learned that Lexi is a descendant of Cleopatra, Gwen wants to team up with Danny and Lexi, and Farouk’s men are continuing on with his plan.
The episode opens in Colombia, 1993, we see Everado leaving on a plane with Cleopatra. He says goodbye to his daughter as he is leaving.
Present day in Saint Petersburg, Tal tells Farouk’s men that the plan will proceed and nothing changes.
Restoration Begins
At a museum in Rome, Reece is restoring Antony with Dr. Castillo. Danny suggests moving Antony because of the biological threat. Farouk’s men will need both Antony and Cleopatra. Reece wants his security doubled and they’ll keep Antony on lockdown.
Gwen is questioning Simon at the carabinieri headquarters. She asks about a check that was written out to Zara Farouk and if that name was one he heard while he was in captivity. Simon doesn’t understand why the check would be written out when Farouk is a fake name. He wants to help, but he thinks Farouk was protected by some very powerful people in high places. Even though Farouk is dead, they are not. He warns about digging too deep into who Farouk really was.
Where Did Everado Go?
Danny and Lexi ask Harper for help in tracking down Everado. He says the DEA spent millions of dollars trying to track him down, but he just disappeared into thin air. No one saw his plane after he refueled in Panama. His last transmission said that his wife could find him in a book of poems that he read to his daughter. Rival cartels took down Everado’s crew. His wife and daughter fled to Europe. The wife died a few years ago and Soledad, his daughter, fled to Italy. They think Carlo Velardi is offering her protection.
Gwen calls Danny to see if he recognizes the name of Zara Farouk. He doesn’t, and Gwen tells him that Fabi was looking into a money trail with checks made out to someone with that name. They hang up and Gwen notices someone in her apartment. The person attacks Gwen and steals the documents that Gwen took.
Danny and Lexi find Soledad in Venice, through Carlo. Shaw is following them and shows up at Soledad’s place. Danny asks about the book of poems. Soledad still has it. The title is Deseado, which is a small island in the Sargasso Sea. They head out with Shaw on Reece’s plane. One of the men doing maintenance on the plane, puts a tracker on it.
Time To Leave
In Rome at the carabinieri headquarters, Gwen is watching surveillance footage outside her apartment. She managed to get a number of the plate the person used. She asked Enzo to look into it. Gwen goes to see the General and he tells her that she is requested back at Interpol. She asks him if he plans to investigate what Fabi was looking into, but he thinks Fabi was a corrupt cop and nothing more.
Shaw takes Danny and Lexi to his friend Vega. Vega tells them of money that washed up on shore. Danny and Lexi think this might be from his plane if it crashed. Vega shows them a map of the islands where the plane could have crashed. They start to search all the islands and found one where there was plane debris. With a mine field surrounding the island, Everado couldn’t leave. They found where he built a shelter and inside it was Cleopatra.
Enzo Comes Through
In Rome, Enzo finds the car that the attacker was driving and sets up a sting to catch them. The attacker meets up with someone, but they realize the cops are there and drive away. The carabinieri chase after them. Gwen picks up a cuff link that one of them dropped.
And They Just Disappear
Back on the island, Vega betrays Shaw and takes Cleopatra. Danny, Lexi and Shaw are tied up, but they escape the ropes. They find Vega and his men are dead and Cleopatra is gone.
At the museum where Antony is, security switches and the new guard takes out all the cameras. The men kill the guards and take Antony.
Who Can They Trust?
Danny, Lexi and Shaw go back to Father Chuck’s place and Lexi thinks about the recordings the Simon has on the Brotherhood. They go to visit him. He will need to go through the recordings, but says he will help them if he can. Danny and Lexi think that maybe the Brotherhood are the ones that took Cleopatra.
Danny gets a call that Antony has been taken. He doesn’t think this was a job of Farouk’s men. They went in quietly and out quietly. He thinks this is the Brotherhood. When Farouk’s men took Antony the first time, they blew up the pyramids. This time it was quiet. Gwen comes in with the cufflink that was dropped at the scene and recognizes Yates as the man that was there. Danny recognizes the cufflink as one that Jay gives his family and friends. Lexi doesn’t suspect Yates, but maybe Reece has been behind the whole thing this entire time.
Thoughts
They have finally found Cleopatra and she was so quickly taken away. They couldn’t even enjoy the moment when they found her. It was nice to see Shaw again, but I’m a little skeptical about how he found Danny and Lexi. He also knew that Antony was found. But when he was with Danny and Lexi at Father Chuck’s place, he said, I will make this right. I will help you find Antony and Cleopatra. They hadn’t known that Antony had been taken yet. Was that just a mistake or does he know something….
I never trusted Jay from the beginning and now we finally have some hints that he may be behind some of what is going on here. Now the question is, who is he helping out?
So now who has Cleopatra? Lexi seems to think that Farouk is behind it. But Danny thinks the Brotherhood is.
