Best New Fall 2017 TV Shows!

Last week we asked our readers to vote for their favorite fall season 2017 TV shows – and you all responded! With over 20 great choices to choose from – we weren’t sure who would end up on top.

Well… Now we know. Check out the top five winners chosen by you:

5. SEAL Team & S.W.A.T. (Tie)

With 5.5% of the total vote, two CBS shows tied for 5th place in viewer voting.

SEAL Team is about an elite U.S. Navy SEAL team as they “train, plan, and execute some of the most dangerous missions around the world.” The show stars David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, and Jessica Paré. Watch SEAL Team on CBS, Wednesday nights at 9/8c.

Shemar Moore stars as a S.W.A.T. Sergeant tasked with running a specialized tactical unit in the new crime drama, S.W.A.T. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Shemar’s character (Daniel Harrelson) is “torn between loyalty to the streets and his brothers in blue.” You can check out S.W.A.T. Thursday nights at 10/9c on CBS.

4. The Gifted

Marvel TV and FOX have come together to bring us The Gifted. With 6.4% of your votes, The Gifted shares a story about a typical family learning that their children have somehow developed “mutant powers.” Starring Amy Acker, Emma Dumont, Jamie Chung, and a host of others – this show is more than just one family… It’s about about fighting to survive in a world of mistrust. Find The Gifted on FOX, Monday nights at 9/8c.

3. The Orville

THE ORVILLE – Cr: Michael Becker/FOX

FOX grabs another top spot with 8.4% of the vote.  Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville has definitely grabbed the attention of television viewers. This science fiction meets comedy meets drama show is an interesting space adventure with a “Star Trek on steroids” kind of feel. MacFarlane and Adrianne Palicki lead a dynamic cast Thursday evenings at 9/8c on FOX.

2. The Good Doctor

Garnering 9.3%, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) takes our viewer’s number two spot with the ABC medical drama, The Good Doctor. Murphy, a surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, joins a prestigious hospital where he gets to utilize his incredible medical skills. Highmore’s portrayal has been called “uplifting and emotional” – but more importantly – comes off as believable. The Good Doctor airs Monday nights at 10/9c on ABC.

1. The Brave

With an intense and loyal fan base, NBC’s The Brave takes our top spot with a whopping 35.7% of the total votes! All about America’s “elite undercover military heroes” and their stories of resilience, The Brave centers around two teams – located thousands of miles apart – working together to keep our world safe. Mike Vogel and Anne Heche star as each team’s leader in this heart-pounding and edge-of-your-seat show. Don’t miss The Brave at 10/9c, Monday nights on NBC.

Worth Mentioning:

A few other shows almost cracked the top five:

  • Mindhunter – Netflix (5.2%)
  • Damnation – USA Network (4.6%)
  • Young Sheldon – CBS (4.1%)

Thank you to TV fans everywhere that voted – We appreciate your time and thoughts!
