TWD “Honor” – Twitter Reactions
The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 9 – We all knew it was coming…
We’ve all been excited with anticipation because TWD was returning to our screens, but at the same time many were hopeful or wishing Carl wouldn’t meet his ultimate demise. With The Walking Dead, nothing is ever easy and Carl’s final moments certainly left us all feeling something – some sadness, some nostalgia, and even some pride as we know Chandler Riggs will move on to some (hopefully) bigger and better things. That passing of the hat though…
So how did fans react?
Overwhelmingly, even knowing what was coming, fans were shocked and full of emotions. Here’s just some of the many reactions from twitter:
I won’t lie, I was in tears. It was an emotional episode. #RipCarl #TheWalkingDead

Some viewers were still angry:
Watched my last @TheWalkingDead episode tonight. @chandlerriggs was amazing but Carls death was last straw, unessesary &did nothing to advance story line. @ScottMGimple you lost many viewers tonight, too bad you’re making decisions based on $ rather than content. #TheWalkingDead

Thanks for a great run, up till now #TheWalkingDead
I’m done with the show. I’ll read @RobertKirkman comic books to follow the story the way it was meant to be. As a writer I can’t image what Kirkman is going through seeing his story butchered.— Selena DelValle (@selenadv7) February 26, 2018
Gotta love how they ruined #TheWalkingDead. This is one of, if not THE best story arc in the comics. And they kill Carl. A character still alive in the comics RIGHT NOW, FAR BEYOND THIS ARC. Not to mention all the other terrible writing the show writer has done to ruin TWD.
