Reactions to The Walking Dead S8 Mid-Season Finale

WARNING – SPOILERS BELOW!

Well, that bites. (Ok, pun semi-intended.) The Walking Dead is known for cliffhangers, emotional moments, and sadly – character deaths. And while a certain someone isn’t dead yet…We know it’s coming.

We went to Twitter for reactions to the season 8 mid-season finale of The Walking Dead and we’ve chosen a few to share with you. Some shock, some anger, some resistance… but not to worry – none of you are alone in this!

I refuse to believe he will die. #TheWalkingDead

I’m surprised I still have a pulse after this episode #TheWalkingDead

Damn, Damn, Damn #TheWalkingDead #TWD pic.twitter.com/0wCjOrezlK

NO NO NO! WHEN EXACTLY DID CARL GET BIT?! Bc apparently when he was talking to Negan, he was already bit??? But now we gotta watch a whole episode with him saying goodbye, HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THAT?! I just can’t believe it! 💔😭 *sobbing* #ICant #TWDMidSeasonFinale

Everyone else is tweeting “RIP Carl” but I’m here, in denial, wondering how they’re going to make him survive this when the show comes back #TheWalkingDead #TWD

— Cassidy (@NiSikuNzuri) December 11, 2017

I’m getting really tired of getting emotionally attached to fictional characters, for them to just… die.

Pfft. #TheWalkingDead #TWD

Going to say that ending was a complete bait-and-switch. Carl wasn’t bit by a walker, but instead by one of the Saviors in a struggle. Gimple wont even admit it was a zombie, just that he was “bitten”. #TheWalkingDead #TWD #TalkingDead

Carl Grimes does NOT deserve to die! Not even as a sacrifice to save his People! Do not do this to us! Do not make us see Carl die! NOT LIKE THIS. Please? #TWD #TWDMidSeasonFinale pic.twitter.com/ULxzNwH9GI

I should’ve probably stayed in the house. #TheWalkingDead

— Carl Grimes (@TheCarlGrimes_) December 11, 2017

Don’t worry everyone. Carl rolled under a dumpster and will be fine. #TheWalkingDead #TWD

Trying to figure out ways that Carl
could still be alive like… #TWD pic.twitter.com/gytsMpH9Ye

It can’t happen this way. NO, NO, NO. #TheWalkingDead #TWDMidSeasonFinale pic.twitter.com/14mDOOIZuD

The ending really got to me you will be missed you long hair, cowboy hat wearing, one eye, pudding eating hero. #RIPCarl #TheWalkingDead pic.twitter.com/EVtaq4ku7D

— Joshua Flowers (@joshflowers1) December 11, 2017

Now I gotta wait till February just to watch my boy die 😒😒 #wtf #TWD#RIPCarl pic.twitter.com/wFw0q8p9eD

— 😬Big Magic⭐️⭐️ (@King_Meezy_75) December 11, 2017

RIP Carl #TheWalkingDead pic.twitter.com/2mNlLhRmTz
