The Village Season 1 Finale

We start the season one finale with another stunning montage. Nick and Jedi walk to the front of the Village. Months of memories? Sarah has dinner with Ethan, phone on vibrate while Katie tries to call her. Patricia can’t sleep, and Enzo wakes up Gabe to tell him he wants to get married. Liam tries to get in contact with anyone, but no one is near their phone as he rushes with Katie to the hospital. Hold on tight, Villagers it’s going to be a ride!

“My favorite squatter, back again.”

Meanwhile, Patricia heads downstairs and notices Nick’s apartment door is open. The two chat about fears about heading into battle; Nick reassures her that everything will be okay. Nick goes to answer the phone and notices it is Liam. He says he’ll be right there. (I love that he called Nick.)

Sarah and Ethan have drinks, but Sarah notices that her phone has been ringing. She rushes off despite the date going well, though he doesn’t understand. At the hospital, Patricia updates Sarah on Katie’s condition. The doctors believe she is having contractions, and the baby is fine; they are trying to slow them. Kind of feel like this might snowball elsewhere. Seems too good to be true?

Family is Where You Find It

Sarah goes to her bedside where she begins to cry; maybe she feels guilty for having drinks while this happened? Liam grabs her hand and they share a smile. Love this moment, shows that despite really not knowing each other the empathy is there.

In the waiting room, Sarah’s date Ethan sits down next to Nick unaware that they’re related in any form. Awkward. Patricia and Ron argue in the hallway, he is annoyed that she would put herself at risk before her surgery. She tells him she would never let it take her from her girls. The sun comes up and Sarah leaves the room finally.

Outside of the hospital, Ben is drowning his sorrows at the bar when Dana appears. She brings him home and he sleeps off his liquor, waking up in the room where his son used to be. They argue over Ben’s past and the lack of memories of their son before he leaves. Meanwhile, Enzo starts to pick out rings to marry her. It forces Gabe to call his father since his father has power over Enzo’s money.

“Plot thickens.”

Finally, Sarah goes out into the waiting room where Nick realizes Ethan and Sarah were on a first date and that Ethan realizes they are connected. She asks to go talk with Ethan outside; Patricia gives him a knowing look and smiles. “Plot thickens.” I love this. She is so aware that Nick and Sarah are better together and how much they both each other.

In the hospital room, Katie awakens and says she is in pain. To Liam’s alarm, there is blood, so he rushes to get Sarah just as she’s going to sit down with Nick. Oh wow… Katie is in labor; the baby is coming! I knew earlier was way too good to be true. How far along is Katie? Will the baby survive this early? I guess time will tell.

Enzo is upset when his son will not give him the money to buy the ring, so Gabe suggests that he propose with the ring he gave to his late wife.

“And how did that work out the first time?”

Meanwhile, Nick and Ron discuss Nick’s job offer and his “running” from his problems. He doesn’t have to say much, but wow, Ron hits it on the head. You can see that Nick feels those words.

Sarah and Katie are in the delivery room, she is in complete labor. She’s upset between contractions because her labor was not how she expected to be. Liam comes into the room, trying to help and she yells at him, which is actually kind of cute since he means so well. Unfortunately, the baby’s heart rate drops so time becomes more crucial. In a short few seconds, she gives birth to the baby boy.
