The Punisher S2 Episodes 3 and 4

Life doesn’t get any easier as Frank Castle, As the episodes role on in “Trouble the Water” and “Scar Tissue”

Frank Castle

At the Sheriff’s Office

Frank Castle is by no means not used to being in lock up. And he finds himself again being booked and thrown into a cell.

But with Pilgrim after him and “Rachel”, he knows he can’t stay long. For his one phone call, he calls Madani. Who basically tells him he’s on his own.

Stuck in lockup

As he and Marlena sit in lockup, they try to tell Sheriff Hardin that they need to let them out. That trouble is coming – but he doesn’t listen.

And Marlena tells Frank they’re going to come after the sheriff leaves.

Neither one of them is wrong, Pilgrim and his people surround the station. And when the lights go out, the sheriff brings Frank out and locks him to a chair.

Frank once again tries to tell them to let them go. To give them up -but to no avail.

So they send deputy Ken Ogden to get help and he’s shot. Luckily the sheriff is able to help him back inside and Rachel gives him first aid as well as she can.

After gun fire is exchanged and they start breaking through, Frank is able to escape and takes down all of Pilgrim’s men, minus Marlena as Pilgrim himself has already killed her.

Just as Pilgrim is going to get a one up on him, Madani shows up with a chopper and agents.

Off to New York

Madani tells him she needs him back in New York to stop Billy who has escaped. After saying goodbye to the Sheriff and telling the deputy he did one of the bravest things he’s ever seen, he and Rachel leave with Madani.

Staying with Madani

Back in New York, Madani puts them up at her apartment. Frank takes the couch and Rachel takes Madani’s spare room.

We get to see a different side of Frank while he’s at her house. A more relaxed Frank who is just lazing around watching television. We also see his caring side come out.

And at one point, when Madani makes a comment they’re still there when coming home, he jokes about her healthy food almost chasing them out.

You can see how troubled he is when he hears Racheal crying in another room.

Though I don’t care for a huge love story… I think this little family dynamic going on with these three is nice to see.

Visit to an old friend

Locking Rachel in her room, Frank goes and sees Curtis, who takes a gun to the front door as he’s worried it’s Russo.

Not a very friendly visit

After telling Frank they need to start doing normal friend things.

He gets on him about not just ending Russo’s life and leaving him in this broken mental state.

…And putting them all at danger.

He tells him he doesn’t want his new girlfriend in danger. And that it must be nice for Frank just to care about himself.

Which aside from the Billy incident, and making hell for the daredevil team, I think that’s an unfair statement as he’s always been caring for people he cares about.

He prefers himself to be in-front of the bullet.

Not a very welcome home either

When he returns and lets Rachel out she’s pissed at him for locking her in. And he says he won’t do it again.

Luckily at the end of episode three him and Rachel who he now knows is Amy start to get along.

Amy Aka Rachel

The police station

While at the police station she tries to use her age to get her out of trouble telling them about how Frank had her locked to the bed at the motel.

But later changes her tune and tells them he saved her.

Aside from telling them over and over they should let them go, she makes deputy Ken’s life a nightmare (Or just amuses him, it’s hard to tell.)

Asking for money for the coke machine, it annoys him into giving her a five.

But when the power goes out she steals one from the machine – lying to Ken – saying before the power went out it ate his five.

Shortly after him getting shot and the whole attack – her tune changes. As he’s being taken out to the hospital, she gives him back his five telling him he’s a hero.

At Madani’s place

After getting the room she immediately locks herself in, and takes a shower.

Laying on the bed and after not being able to relax on top of the bed, she lays under it, and starts to cry before falling asleep.

Her past

She finally tells Frank the truth. She tells him how her and her friends used to do runs for this woman.

The last job they did was taking pictures of people at a funeral. That seemed to be laughing, hugging and kissing.

Later on, when going to get tacos, she came back to their hotel room to find all her friends bleeding to death.

And that she had to hide under the bed as Pilgrim came into the room. I guess that answers why she likes sleeping under the bed.

Funny moment

At one point Frank tells her he’s going take a shower, and she says that’s fine, as long as she doesn’t have to watch

Frank just grumbles and takes his bag and goes to the shower. I wish the audience could have watched.

Trip to the tech store

Using a computer at a tech store she finds out that Frank is the Punisher.

And when she confronts him, he doesn’t hide it. That’s when she finally tells him her name is Amy.

Billy Russo

The mask

Through flashbacks we see the origin of the design on his mask. That it was a project Dr.Krista Dumont told him to do. She says she does it with other patients. A way to express themselves.

The escape

After getting another of his headaches he gets into a fight with the doctor causing The guards to come in, he kills them and threatens Krista into helping him escape. Which she does.

And once they’re out, she tries to talk him into not running, but he does anyway.

The Bus Ride

Next we see him on a bus, which I don’t know how he paid for, a guy sits behind him and makes fun of him for his scarred face and him not talking.

Big Mistake

After the guy gets off Billy follows him, and kills him, and takes his clothes.
