Actor Shawn Passwaters talks about playing Dr. Howie Young on Sweet Magnolias.

As of season 2, Dr. Howie is no longer in practice with Bill Townsend, but he is still committed to offering guidance to Helen Decatur on her plans to pursue IVF to have a baby. Howie is on hand at the very beginning of season 2 when we finally learn the identity of the passenger in the car with Kyle.
Dr. Howie is a good friend to all, but it sure would be fun to explore more of Howie’s own personal journey. As fans hope for an announcement about a potential third season of Sweet Magnolias, I sat down with Shawn to talk about his hopes for future storytelling with Howie.
