Atlanta Movie Tours announces its Stranger Things themed “Atlanta Upside Down Tour”.
Atlanta Movie Tours (AMT) recently announced its brand new “Atlanta Upside Down Tour” to treat Stranger Things fans to filming locations used in the popular Netflix series. The new adventure opens to the public on August 16th.
AMT has been wowing tv and film fans with their tours since 2012. Popular offerings include trips to filming locations used in The Walking Dead, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and so much more.
Fans love the Georgia-lensed Stranger Things. AMT is now ready to bring viewers up close and personal with iconic locations that have helped bring the series to life.

What to expect
Tourists can look forward to visiting several different Stranger Things locations including:
- The restaurant that doubled as Benny’s Burgers in season 1. While there was not a happy ending for Benny (played by Chris Sullivan), Benny’s Burgers was pivotal in Eleven’s escape from Hawkins Laboratory.
- The Hawkins Police Station has been a fixture in all seasons of Stranger Things. AMT takes you to Hopper’s home base as Chief of Police.
- Hopper’s Cabin, home to Hopper and Eleven in seasons 2 and 3.
- The farm used for Merrill’s Pumpkin Patch where rotting pumpkins led to the Upside Down in the sophomore season of Stranger Things.
- The Palace Arcade where season 2 newcomer Max boasts the high score in Dig Dug .
- All these places and more!
The tour runs for 3.5 hours. The bus leaves from the AMT headquarters (and store!) in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood of downtown Atlanta. AMT utilizes industry insiders that bring unique insights, trivia and behind the scenes stories to its tour guests.
