Proven Innocent
There are a lot of procedurals out there today and it can be hard to pick one to watch. (If any!)
Honestly, I didn’t think I would be that interested in Proven Innocent, but I finally gave in and tried it – mostly for Russell Hornsby. And, I loved it.
This show takes the basic lawyer drama and gives it a deadly twist. It’s also is good at keeping the killer a mystery.
Let me introduce you to the characters and the storyline for the first six episodes and you can decide for yourself.
Let’s start with the story
The story revolves around Madeline and Levi Scott who at 18 were wrongfully convicted of their best friend Rosemary Lynch murder.
Now Madeline runs a firm named The Injustice Defense Group and with her partners tries to free the innocent.
Working against her though is state attorney Gore Bellows. Bellows is running for Attorney General and still believes Madeline and her brother are guilty.
Each episode finds Madeline and her team trying to free innocent people while Madeline tries to solve who really killed Rosemary.

Playing Detective
Each week this shows give the viewers the chance to play detective.
They do a great job of laying out the suspects while never letting on to anyone as the killer. We haven’t even seen Rosemary’s death actually happen, just her body.
