Prime Video announces date for beginning of the end for Bosch: Legacy.

Bosch: Legacy will come to a close after its third season. Bosch has been a staple of the popular streamer over 7 seasons in its original format and soon to be 3 more with spin-off Bosch: Legacy. The series adapted from the novels by Michael Connelly has won the hearts of both readers and non-readers of the books.

It’s coming soon

Prime Video will premiere the final chapter of Bosch: Legacy on March 27. Final content will be released on April 17.

Connelly looks back

Executive producer and author Michael Connelly has high regard for the show he was instrumental in bringing to our screens.

What an amazing run it has been. I could not have asked for a better cinematic adaptation of my work. Led by Titus Welliver and showrunners Eric Overmyer and Tom Bernardo, and a great partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, I think we defined the start of the streaming era with the best detective show ever.”

– Michael Connelly

Returning favorites

Watch for many favorites from seasons past to return in season 3:

  • Stephen A. Chang (Maurice “Mo” Bassi)
  • Denise Sanchez (Det. Reina Vasquez
  • Scott Klace (Sgt. John Mankiewicz)
  • Gregory Scott Cummins (Det. “Crate” Moore)
  • Troy Evans (Det. “Barrel” Johnson)
  • Paul Calderon (Det. Jimmy Robertson)
  • Celestino Corneille (DEA Agent Charlie Hovan)
  • Chris Browning (Preston Borders)

Of course, the show’s three leads will be busy facing different challenges this season which draws from novels Desert Star (2022) and The Black Ice (1993). Honey ‘Money’ Chandler announced her run for District Attorney last season while Preston Border insinuated that Harry was associated with the murder of Maddie’s kidnapper Kurt Dockweiler in prison. As if taking a call from Borders was not stressful enough, Prime Video shared that this season Maddie will be working with some dangerous robbery cases where victims are followed to their residences. Harry will struggle will a family that went missing and will question the limits of justice.
