Black Lightning Episode 6
And just like that, Black Lightning exploded back on to the scene!
Let’s start with a burning question:
Is Gambi a traitor?
Tonight we saw Gambi go and talk to Lady Eve leaving us with more questions than answers. Obviously he’s protecting Tobias due to some deal with her in exchange she doesn’t touch the Pierce family.
The question is – Can Gambi can be trusted? To that, I answer yes. I think like all super hero shows he has a past that’s catching up with him and I hope we find out more about his past soon. Please leave your comments down below and let me know what you think about Gambi.
Jennifer and Khalil
Jen wrestled with her feelings about Khalil. After he made some discouraging comments on a video insulting her, she went to visit him against her dads warnings.
Khalil continues insulting her and actually blames her for what happened to him. Jennifer leaves heart broken and the next time we see Khalil, he is in the backseat of a limo with Tobias.
Lynn
Wow, I actually liked Lynn in this episode! She put her foot down to Jefferson and Gambi. I feel like she is finding her own voice and I hope she continues down that road. It was amazing and I loved when she talked Jefferson down from killing Tobias.
I’m curious if the fact that Jefferson’s brain scans are the same as those taking Greenlight will come into play more on the future. I am also wondering if we find out that Lynn has her own secrets that we don’t know yet.
Thunder meets Lightning
In the final moments of the episode, responding to Lynn’s screams, Jefferson attacks Anissa, not knowing it’s her, trying to protect Lynn. The face he makes after knocking her out and finds out said it all, that he was in shock and upset.
Then Anissa finds out her dad is Black Lightning. Her face looking exactly like his when he found out. I can’t wait to see what the fallout is from the fight and the fact Anissa is out being a crime fighter on her own.
I really like how they stay up with recent events. The fight about confederate statues and the way violence usually answers non-violent protests. I can’t wait until next week’s exciting episode!
Black Lightning airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on the CW.
