The Punisher Season 2 Episodes 11,12, and 13

The Punisher Season 2 Episodes 11, 12, and 13
Take a moment to share:

Mahoney on a mission

Driving like a madman through the streets of New York towards the police station. Mahoney gripes at Frank the whole way.

Even telling Frank once this isn’t something he normally does and Frank says “your doing a good job” , and Mahoney says something like “thank you so much, I’m glad I have your seal of approval”.

Another funny part is Frank at one time saying “I just want some sleep” .

This was all before Pilgrim drives up next to them and starts shooting at him. And they go crashing over the barrier down to street below.

A miraculous survival

Living the fall, Frank is able to get the keys out of Mahoney’s pocket, and tells him he’s going be okay.

Getting out of the ambulance, Frank knocks his shoulder into place on the side of the ambulance. That’s  when he sees the gas leak and the fire.

Without a second thought, he gets back into the ambulance and gets Mahoney out of there.

He walks them to an underpass and sits him against the wall.  telling him that helps on the way and starts walking off.

In which Mahoney pulls his gun and all Frank says is “do what you have to do” and turns and walks away. And Mahoney drops his arm down.

Collecting the senator

After using the badge number on his stolen police uniform. Frank goes to David Shultz Apartment.

And after hitting him, asks a confused David about the kids that pilgrim killed in Chicago. And police station. Before kidnapping him.

Amy’s gone

Arriving at Curtis’s mobile home Frank immediately knows something’s wrong as the lower hatch is opened.

Going inside Frank finds Curtis on the ground and after helping him up, Curtis told him Pilgrim came, and Amy ran.

After calling her phone and finding it outside, he goes to David’s car and pulls him out.

Questioning

After asking a barrage of questions. And showing David photos. David realizes what his parents have done just to keep the secret he’s gay from coming out.

Pulling David’s phone out of his pants, Frank calls David’s parents.

A little talk with the parents

Talking to David’s parents on FaceTime, David learns the deadly truth about his parents.

And after threatening Frank, Frank tells them if Pilgrim doesn’t bring back Amy he will kill David, and punches him for good measure. And tells them if they trace the call he will kill him.

A call from Amy

After getting a call from Amy, Frank goes down there and learns that she hid in Pilgrims trunk and than knocked on his door.

After telling Amy how stupid that was, he goes to the room she indicates. Frank finds out he’s in another room. And they start a firing match between rooms.

In the end Pilgrim is able to get Amy and drives off with her.

Back at the mobile home

Frank finds it empty. Without David as someone to trade. Frank needs to think of a new plan

Pilgrim arrives

When pilgrim arrives. He lies and says that he has a bomb on David and if he doesn’t let Amy leave he will blow him up.

Pilgrim let’s Amy go and she takes Madani’s car.

A fight

After pilgrim learning the truth, the two of them get into a fight of fists and words.

Where Frank learns about pilgrim having two sons being held by the Shultzs and in the end decides not to kill him.

Ending the Shultz reign

With the company of Amy, Frank goes to the Shultz house. Shoots Mrs.Shultz after she tries to attack Amy.

Then gives Mr.Shultz a gun and says he can either shoot himself or let a video get released of him threatening Frank. And shows him that his son had come out publicly.

When Frank and Amy are outside watching Pilgrim load his sons into his car, as his wife has passed. A gunshot goes off in the house.

Finally ending it

After getting a call from Curtis about getting a call from a dying Billy (which will be explained).

Frank goes to the warehouse where Billy tries to apologize. But Frank just shoots him twice killing him. And walks off without a word.

I think this shows that Frank has seen Billy as dead since he smashed his face into the glass of the merry go round. And that after what he did to him with those women he was just done.

The bus station

Sitting with Amy at a bus station he tells her he has a friend in Florida who runs a dive shop that’s going take her as an apprentice . And gives her money to take care of herself.

Before she gets on the bus she holds him and as she gets onto the bus she looks back and he’s gone.

This is a truly beautiful moment between the two. You can see that Frank through he denies it has family again and sees Amy as a daughter and she sees him as a dad.

Three months later

Outside a warehouse

We see Frank sitting in his car, and Madani calls and tells him she is CIA now, and has a job for him.

We even see that she’s texted Frank a few times before he picked up:

After thanking her for calling and telling her he already had one. He hangs up.

You can tell how much Dinah cares and has fallen for Frank when he hangs up, the look she gives the phone is one who is missing a loved one. I need someone to save this show because I want more Dinah and Frank moments.

You can tell Frank cares for her a lot as well as he thought about the offer. But he has a job to do and gets out of the car in his Punisher vest. Gets his guns out of the trunk and goes shoots up two rivaling gangs.

Dinah Madani

In these three episodes we see Dinah change from wanting Castle behind bars, to wanting to help him.

I feel like she also fell for him. And found a friend in Karen, Amy, Mahoney and Curtis.

Within all this she has to deal with Krista. Who after everything with the ambulance, calls her and tells her she’s scared. And uses language like Billy’s

Going to Kristas apartment

She goes and visits Krista where she sees bags packed. And while Krista is in the bathroom finds Billy’s book. Giving proof to her thoughts about him and her being together.

When Krista comes out of the bathroom, she attacks Dinah and the two of them get into a fight. Which ends with Dinah pushing Krista out a window.

Billy comes after her

As expected Billy charges into the apartment and attacks Dinah, and starts choking her. While he’s doing that she manages to shoot him three times. But she soon passes out

Waking up to Mahoney
When she’s woken up by EMTs she is glad to learn Krista survived. But sadly so did Billy.

But Mahoney hands her the badge and gun. She tells him she’s done with that.

Learning Kristas past

In one of his many talks with Krista he learns why she’s afraid of heights.

It’s because her dad who suffered from ptsd and was an abuser. Grabbed her and jumped out the window. She survived but he didn’t.

Happy Ending?

Leaving Krist’s apartment, Billy gets fake ids for him and Krista and the surviving members of his gang. He also gives them money.

And on the way back buys Krista flowers.

Finding Krista

After finding Krista on the ground broken and bloody. Billy sees Madani in the window and after almost choking her to death gets shot three times.

Being thrown out

Going to a scum bag doctor to heal his wounds, he passes out and wakes up in a garbage can, crawls out and drags himself to a warehouse and calls Curtis.

The last we see of Billy was him laying in the room dying and then before being able to apologize, Frank comes in and shoots him.

Pilgrim

This episode is trialing for Pilgrim as he learns his wife is dead. And basically realizes if he doesn’t do as the Shultses say his sons will pay.

But luckily he gets help from Frank

I don’t think he deserves what he got. But it helped his sons and that’s what matters.

Curtis Hoyle

We see him come into his own in this episode.

And following his own heart,  he helps David Shultz when Frank leaves, leaving him in the care of Mahoney so he can go home.

Last thoughts

All in all, these episodes showed so much character growth. They were amazingly written and it makes it even worse that it was cancelled

They only wet my appetite for more. And I hope they revive it on Hulu in the future – Keeping the cast intact.
