Sabrina never gives up on trying to fix the wrongs of the Church of Night. And when she hears of Father Blackwood’s deceit she doesn’t sit by. Sabrina Spellman
An annoying Aunt Zelda
As Zeldas wedding is getting closer, she has Sabrina, Ambrose, and Hilda help with making decorations for the Wedding.
And Sabrina doesn’t like the fact her aunts marrying him for power. And feels bad for Ambrose as he mourns Luke.
But gets mad when Ambrose throws something at Salem as he thinks Salem ate his, familiar Leviathan.
Visiting with Nick
While having drinks with Nick, half listening as he talks about the Anti Pope, and how Sabrina’s dad was close to him.
Seeing a Ghost
That’s when she sees the ghost of her Father Edward Spellman (played by Georgie Daburas). Up on the second floor.
Going up there, he tells Sabrina that she can’t trust Blackwood. And that he is the one that brought down him and her mothers plane. So they couldn’t bring his new Manifesto to the Anti-pope.
He also told her to save Zelda from him, and to finish his work.
Telling Aunt Zelda
Hurrying back home, she tells Zelda about her dads ghost and what he had said.
She tells her for one, Sabrina’s already been drinking, and how could she know it was really his ghost.
And if it was to send it her way. So she can talk to him directly. Mad Sabrina stalks off.
Finding Solace in Ambrose
Following Sabrina, Ambrose tells her that he thinks she’s right. He tells her about the tarot reading he had. And being inducted into Blackwoods secret society, for warlocks only. And that their meeting that night
Sabrina tells him to find out all he can.
Visiting Wardwell
Still unbeknownst to Sabrina that Wardwell is actually Lilith and a traitor, she goes to her for guidance.
And tells her about the ghost and what he said. Not knowing it was Wardwell that faked being the ghost.
And to further her scheme Wardwell tells her about her parents heading to the Vatican necropolis that’s under Rome. To give the Anti-pope his manifesto.
And that it was Blackwood that did the inquiry Into their death and ruled it a plane failure. And that A traditionalist like Blackwood wouldn’t want the anti-pope to see that.
Wardwell also made sure the plane went down under the Devil’s Triangle.
Nick Goes Diving
Using Sabrina’s bathtub and magic, Nick recovers her fathers manifesto.
After telling Sabrina about fighting off a squid to get it, Nick tells her he would do anything for anything for her.
Which I find interesting that it was her who would do anything for Harvey and now it’s Nick doing anything for Sabrina.
Aunt Hilda comes in
Coming into the bathroom, Hilda asks Sabrina to help her get rid of late Mrs. Blackwoods spirit. And tells Nick to put a shirt on.
Spirit removal
While Sabrina slowly puts out the candles surrounding Mrs.Blackwoods spirit. They find out Shirley (one of the prof at the school of unseen arts that hates Zelda) woke up her spirit and lied to her.
Saying that she purposely let her die. To steal Blackwood.
Thus the spirit easily leaves as she didn’t want to be awoken in the first place.
Putting together Edwards Manifesto
Sitting in her room with Ambrose and Nick. Sabrina puts together the pages of her fathers Manifesto.
And learns he had a vision of witches and mortals being together. Going as far to say they should be together to make stronger offspring.
After their done going through Edwards Manifesto it’s Ambrose’s turn to tell them about father Blackwoods Manifesto.
About how archaic and misogynistic it is. And how he is going show it to the Anti-pope. Ambrose also mentions he will be guarding the Anti-popes chambers and can get Sabrina in.
The Antipopes Visit
As the anti pope enters the school you can tell how much he likes looking at the teenagers.
And even tells Sabrina he missed her father. And wishes he could have seen where Edward would’ve taken them.
Crashing Blackwoods meeting
Breaking into Blackwood and the antipopes meeting Sabrina gives him her fathers manifesto.
The anti pope than says he will take his leave and will go over both manifestos and choose one.
A night with Nick
With everyone at the academy short of Sabrina and Nick they decide to start having a make out session which I’m sure would’ve gone to more if a bloody Ambrose didn’t appear in her room.
Ambrose pops in
Babbling about the anti pope being dead and not knowing how he died. And how it’s not his fault.
Sabrina assures him that she believes him, and asks Nick to take him somewhere safe while, she goes stalls Blackwood who they hear downstairs.
Stalling Blackwood
Going downstairs, she acts innocent and says he’s not there but Blackwood has his men search the house
Talking with her aunts
While Blackwood and his boys search the house Sabrina asks her aunts if they believe he did it.
And to Sabrina’s chagrin Zelda believes he might have.
The wedding will go on
After informing them his men found nothing. Blackwood makes it clear that the wedding will still go on. And it will be done after the antipopes funeral.
Concocting a plan
Still hellbent to stop the wedding. She concocts a Hamlet like Plot to stop it. And needs to explain what she’s talking about to him. Obviously wizards don’t read Shakespeare.
Crashing her aunts wedding
Breaking into the wedding, glamoured as Edward and Diana, her and Nick go in accusing Blackwood of murdering them and tells him to confess or face their wrath.
Seeing through it
Easily seeing through it Blackwood takes off the glamour.
Still not perturbed
Not letting herself be bothered by it – Sabrina still accuses Blackwood of killing her parents and the antipope because he was worried he would choose Edwards over his.
Ambrose swoops in
After arguing with him about Ambrose not killing the antipope. Ambrose shows up and tries to kill Blackwood. But is stopped and arrested
The wedding still happens
Even after all the days events. And being kicked out of the academy. Sabrina learns her aunt and Blackwood got married in his office.
Trying to Visit Ambrose
Sabrina tries to enter the academy of unseen arts and is unable to do so.
And when prudence comes out to tell her once your expelled you can’t come in. She also says she can’t visit Ambrose and they were never friends
Once she leaves. Quentin one of the ghost children around the school appears and tells her about how Ambrose is locked up in the Witches Cell and that the weird sisters are planning on torturing him.
Confiding in her aunt
Telling her Aunt Hilda everything. And Hilda mentioning how Zelda usually takes care of these things. And how she hasn’t been able to get ahold of her.
Summoning the Trivium
After telling Sabrina about Trivium or gatekeepers. They summon them to the house…
And learn that they’ve already talked to Blackwood and there would be no trial and Ambrose will be executed once Blackwood returns to the school.
Making plans
As Hilda tells Sabrina she is going try to bribe her way in to see Ambrose with cooked chicken.
Sabrina mentions she is going go to Baxter high to see Wardwell and ask for advice
Baxter High
After learning from Theo that Roz lost her sight and has to do work in the library, Sabrina goes sees Roz quickly before going to talk to Wardwell.
She finds out from Wardwell who is taking a personal day, that Roz wanted to study alone in the library. And that if she wants to help her to make her see again and bring a comfort spell.
Going to see Roz
Seeing Roz doesn’t go so well, as her and Harvey tell her they don’t trust witches or spells.
And they blame her for her loosing her sight. Since she lost it right after kissing Harvey.
It’s nice to see them act like real people instead of just happy go lucky normal tv teenagers.
Upset Sabrina leaves. And is watched by another student as she does.
Things don’t get better
Going to Dorian Greys bar she tries to talk with Nick.
Who wants nothing to do with her after getting expelled from the academy.
Getting a visitor
As she’s at home brooding. A missionary comes to the door. And asks if he can have some water.
And talks about religion with her.
As their talking she gets a call from Roz who tells her she had a vision of a missionary killing her and tells her to get out.
And Sabrina actually does what someone should do. Instead of normal horror stupidity and leaves.
Just in time as he runs after with a knife. She does a spell locking him in the house to give her time to get away.
Visiting her aunt
Visiting her aunt Hilda at the store she finds out she was also attacked by a witch hunter
Nick comes in and mentions he was attacked at Dorians and apologizes to Sabrina and tells her they call themselves the innocents.
Knowing that they have to get into the school to help warn the others. Hilda tells them they have a lot of hands in their botanical garden.
A visit from Harvey
After getting the hand, and are about to leave the house Harvey stops by to apologize.
And when Sabrina tells him they need to go because witch hunters are attacking the school he decides to go with them.
Going to the academy
They find Ambrose bleeding to death in the entrance way. Who tells them the others are Locked in the church with the angels.
As Sabrina is baptized in both religions she is able to go into the church. And as she enters they kill her with arrows
Resurrection
As the angels start killing the witches. Sabrina rises up into the air with a crown on.
And says she is Satan’s sword and kills the angels and brings the dead witches back to life.
And turns to look at Harvey as he rushes in. Her eyes pure white.
Aunt Hilda
Seeing a different darker side
We see a darker side of Hilda in this episode. As she not only gets excited about having to get rid of Mrs.Blackwoods ghost.
But also kills the witch that brought Mrs.Blackwoods spirit back to haunt Zelda.
Helping Ambrose
She also doesn’t give herself enough credit, as she thinks of a plan to help Ambrose.
Bringing a roasted chicken to Prudence she tells her that she can have it in exchange for seeing Ambrose. And that they can throw the bones at him to torture him afterwards.
Trying to fool her and Ambrose
As she sits and visits with Ambrose she easily sees its one of the sisters glammering as does Ambrose who they tried to trick.
Afterwards they throw him the bones. Which make a skeleton key.
Ambrose
We see a sadder more beaten down Ambrose in these episodes.
With the death of Luke he is not his normal happy self.
Hiding at Dorians
After being accused of killing Blackwood, he hides out at Dorians.
Where he throws up his familiar. And realizes that father Blackwood controlled him to kill the antipope.
Being arrested
After a failed attempt on Blackwoods life and being locked in the witches cell. He is tortured by the weird sisters.
Failing at fooling
They even try to fool him, pretending to be his aunt and telling him to confess.
Skeleton key
Realizing that the bones the weird sisters threw at him made a key he makes his escape.
Only to run Into the witch hunters/ angels. And screams out a warning before being attacked.
Mrs.Wardwell
A new start?
After being asked by Adam to take a personal day for just them after her telling him she doesn’t care for marriage. And him accepting it.
She decides to and they have a nice day.
Everything ruined
As their eating dinner. The dark lord pulls off Adams skin and ask how she likes the meat. Which is Adams. And gives her his head on a platter.
Telling her that she can’t escape him
Getting sick
Lilith throws up everything. And kills her familiar again when she realizes it’s him that told the dark lord.
Luke
We see Luke being killed by the angels after he gives up all the information about the other witches.
My final thoughts
I thought these episodes where very interesting. I liked seeing the different sides to all the characters…
This show never seems to disappoint.
