The Gifted Episode 7 (S2)

Last time on The Gifted…

Marcos finally got to see his little girl but it was short-lived.

Clarice became a spy for the Morlocks, an underground group of mutants.

John is feeling guilty over everything that’s happening.

Reeds powers are becoming unstable and he is mostly dying from it and no one can touch him.

Lauren has to fight Andy when him and the others from The Inner Circle break a prisoner out of a prison disguised as a psychiatric ward for mutants. She loses and they escape.

And now on with our show

Reeva has a plan

We finally learn the great plan Reeva has cooked up. She is using her boyfriend, Quinn (played by Sharif Atkins) to get into a bank that’s friendly with anti-mutant groups.

The Plan

Reeva’s plan was simple, go in, get the money, have them admit their wrong doing and leave.

Step One:

They get in easy enough, since Quinn disabled the mutant alarm in exchange for him or his boys being killed and they take everyone at the bank hostage. The Frost Sisters use their powers to make the manager admit what they were doing. Step one: complete.

Step Two:

While the Frost sisters are doing their thing, Polaris, Andy and Rebecca head to the vault. Now this is why they broke Rebecca out.

Using her powers, and a little coaching from Andy, Rebecca turns the safe inside out and the walls break letting them inside to all the accounts. Step two: complete.

Step Three:

Reeva gets Quinn and he undoes the account locks so back at base, Sage can transfer all the money safely to the account of The Inner Circle. Step three: complete.

Step Four:

With everything completed, Reeva put Quinn in the room with the other prisoners and locks it.

Rebecca argues they should kill them all but Reeva says no and upon hearing sirens says they have to leave.

As everyone is leaving though, Rebecca turns around goes to the room and using her powers, turns the people inside out killing everyone inside.

The others look at her in fear and anger and Reeva pushes them out the door super mad at Rebecca.

I hope they realize soon that Rebecca is going to get them all caught or she will kill them, just like she did her parents. She is completely insane just as Lorna warned them all she was.

Jace

Jace has been a busy man since his wife left him. He joined the purifiers and all but has become a leader in the local group.

He even led a raid into the hospital and another mutant safe zone killing Shatter.

He has completely lost it. He still shows some compassion but I think like Rebecca, he is on a trip he can’t come back from.

The Mutant Underground

Gifted Season 2 Episode 7
THE GIFTED: Stephen Moyer in the “no Mercy” episode of THE GIFTED ©2018 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Jace DownsFOX…

The group has moved Reed to The now abandoned hospital where he can be without hurting himself or anyone else.

Lauren is helping her dad by using her powers as a barrier when his flare up.

Kate did some research and she is certain she has found Reed’s dads old assistant and she may be able to help him.

With the way things go, I’m pretty sure that’s going to go badly.

Marcos, John and Clarice

Marcos, whose pretty intent on making everyone’s life miserable like his, tells John that he doesn’t trust Clarice and thinks she’s up to something.

John confronts Clarice who admits she’s helping the Morlocks but only to get information for John. They don’t talk much after but at-least she didn’t take off.

Final thoughts:

I feel bad for Marcos but his attitude towards the people helping him is horrible.

Rebecca is going to be bad news for everyone and after the writers patterns, they aren’t going to get rid of her anytime soon.

I really want Marcos and Lorna to work things out but I know that isn’t great story telling so it won’t happen anytime soon.

Seeing how great Esmé is with little Dawn was great and really brought a new side to her character. She was always the one with a conscious but we also see she has a nurturing side as well.

Unfortunately though we all will have to wait until Nov. 27 to find out what happens in the aftermath of crazy Rebecca’s little stunt.
