‘Motherland Fort Salem’ recap “Up is Down”

Take a moment to share:

Abigail is traumatized after the attack on the wedding and Scylla is still missing.

But training continues. This lesson, learning to fly. Raelle, the only one with experience, goes first. She gets caught up thinking of Scylla that she forgets that her flight time is limited.

Tally is concerned about Scylla’s Spree alliance but Anacostia wants her to forget about it. She can’t.

More Bellweather witches died during the Spree attack as their vocal cords were cut. The Spree hardly target other witches, they mostly go after civilians. Abigail’s mother warns her that she needs to be careful and that she will have a “body guard.” The body guard offers extra training to keep Abigail on her toes.

Raelle, concerned that no one cares about Scylla ventures into a room that contains a “mushroom.” Scylla’s necro teacher stops her from touching the mushroom but she managed to poke it with her finger. She tells Raelle that Scylla is dead, swept away in the storm.

Abigail continues to feel powerless and has been having nightmares as well.  Her unit backs her up by telling her she’s going to be ok.

Scylla let Raelle know she’s alive by scrawling an S into Raelle’s palm Raelle steals her unit’s Salva so she can fly to Scylla. She sticks a bunch on and clumsily flies to the beach. Abigail and Tally ultimately find her unconscious on the beach desperately calling out for Scylla.

Scylla is chained up in a roomed being questioned by General Alder and the S was an SOS to Raelle.
