Black Lightning Episode 4 – Quick Recap

For every action, there’s definitely a reaction. That’s what tonight’s episode put on the table. Between Anissa learning that she could seriously injure or kill someone to Jefferson questioning if the collateral damage done when he goes out as Black Lightning is really worth it.

It’s truly a question every super hero show should ask but very few do, especially the CW’s other heroes.

Powerful Story Line

I am enjoying the way they are showing the effects of becoming paralyzed – not only Khalil, but on Jennifer as well. This is the one story line Arrow missed and I hope Black Lightning will continue to follow the path it’s on.

We also got to meet Tobias’s sister, Tori (played by Edwina Findley), who by first look is just as psychotic as her brother and is the one to push Tobias towards friending Khalil at the end.

The only story line I’m bored with is the one between him and his ex wife. I think it’s being dragged on to long and it needs to reach a conclusion – either good or bad.

Trust?

Another episode brings another question raised on whether we can trust Peter or not. Last week he erased evidence of Tobias and this week it was footage of Anissa using her powers. I personally think he is protecting Jefferson from himself by making sure he doesn’t start obsessing, but I would love to hear what you think. Go ahead and leave your thoughts on the matter in the comments section. I think it will be interesting to see if our thoughts are the same.

All-in-all, this was another wonderful episode full of strained women, not only with powers but without. I would love to see something happen between Jefferson and the vice principal.
