Heroes and Villains Fan Fest – NJ!
All about Heroes and Villains Fan Fest!
Convenient!
Getting to the New Jersey Conference and Expo Center was a piece of cake (FREE PARKING!) and getting inside “HVFF” was even easier. Smooth and easy pass pick-up, security got everyone through safely and efficiently, and everything you ever wanted to do at a Fan Fest / Con is within easy reach.
Fan-Focused
Autographs, photo opportunities, and some really great celebrity panels highlight the event. Panels on Gotham, Arrow, Superman, and more! Want an autograph or selfie with such stars as Victor Garber, Colton Haynes, Matt Ryan, Tyler Hoechlin, Ray Fisher, or a bunch of others? Piece of cake – they’re all there and were amazing with their fans.
Vendors and merchants line the center of the floor – If you can’t find something amazing and fun to buy here… Well, then… I don’t know what to tell you. There’s a little bit of everything and it’s ALL fun!
You can’t get lost and there was ALWAYS something to do – Staff are everywhere, always available, to help you find your next destination within Fan Fest. Could it get any easier?
Thoughts
Heroes and Villains isn’t the biggest con you will visit – but it has plenty to do. With their highlight on celebrity accessibility, it’s one of the best if you want to hang out with your favorite stars. There are just so many different options for fans to have a good time! The panels really focused on audience questions instead of the majority coming from the moderators. (Something that drives me nuts – Moderators should ask only a few questions and then lead the audience… Fans need that opportunity!)
And if the panels weren’t enough – they had a live stage with a number of different activities (think tattoos, artists, cosplay, and more!) and even did some one-on-one interviews with a few of the stars. These 15-20 minute interviews were up close and personal – very easy for you to get close to and learn more about your favorites. (Click here to see our interview w/ Colton Haynes!)
One of the things I really liked – You weren’t overloaded with vendors and merchants. There was just enough to be able to choose a gift, souvenir, or something fun – and the majority of prices for merchandise was pretty good. Some cons have rows and rows and rows AND ROWS of vendors selling their wares – and you can get lost in the sea of madness. This was easy to navigate and made it easier to focus on more of the activities.
Wrapping it up…
If you’ve never been to a Heroes and Villains Fan Fest – You need to go. Pricing is good, the value is great, and you’re destined to have a great time. Heads up San Jose and Portland – You guys and gals are up next with Chicago and London not far behind.
