There are a lot of Halloween plans on Perfect Harmony episode 6 ‘HALLE-BOO-YA’. Adams gets an invite to a Halloween party, but she has no one to manage the diner. Cue Ginny who secretly would like to try her hand at running the diner for the night. Suddenly, Arthur blurts out Ginny’s secret and Adams agrees, somewhat reluctantly, to give her a chance.

Meanwhile, Reverend Jax is hosting the Halle-boo-ya festival at the church. Wayne becomes annoyed when Dwayne’s new gal pal Georgia intrudes on their usual Halloween plans. Dwayne announces that he will not be engaging in the best friends’ traditional Halloween prank war.

Check out the “high notes” from Perfect Harmony this week.

Customers, costumers or both

Ginny has a fun Halloween night planned at the diner complete with a costume contest and festive food like “monster mashed potatoes”. A large crowd soon gathers requiring a minimum of three to a booth. Arthur manages to get a seat with Dwayne and Georgia who are sporting Samson and Delilah costumes. Only caveat is that he is not allowed to talk. Ha! As if that ever stopped Arthur before.

Georgia and Dwayne share their excitement over the $1000 prize for the best costume. Ginny realizes she has made a mistake on the flyer. The prize is only $100. She scrambles to figure out how to avoid losing $1000 on her first night managing the diner. Ginny asks Arthur to come up with a great costume so he can win but not actually take the $1000.

Arthur goes home to get his opera costume complete with tights and a feather in his hat. He barely makes it out the door before getting egged. Now he has to find another costume. He chooses his tuxedo and goes as a conductor. Ginny is disappointed. Arthur goes rogue and cuts the sleeves and pant legs off the tuxedo turning it into a makeshift Chippendales costume. He attempts a provocative dance that garners mostly laughs and outrage.

Ginny takes matters into her own hands. She sprays whipped cream on the security cameras and pulls the fire alarm to get the customers out of the diner. The costume deadline passes while the customers are outside voiding the contest announcement. Ginny gets out of awarding $1000 but gets a hefty fine for the false fire alarm instead.

Adams arrives to the diner from her party. She applauds Ginny for making a profit on Halloween night and offers her the position of “manager in training”.

A new prankster in town

Georgia suggests that Wayne and Dwayne’s prank war is a childish tradition. Wayne shares his disappointment at the church festival. He tells a story about two young friends named Dane and Shane. Hmm, wonder who that could be?

Reverend Jax does his best to entertain the kids with church-themed party activities. There is a “flaming sword of unselfishness” (minus the flame) and a reverse game of bobbing for apples. Cash expresses disappointment over missing out on collecting candy and egging houses.

Later, Dwayne and Georgia arrive at the Halle-boo-ya festival. Dwayne offers a lame prank to Wayne, the old fake cam of nuts with a fake snake that pops out. Wayne feigns surprise. Georgia is anxious to leave and refers to Wayne as a baby. Wayne gets upset and the three of them bicker. Reverend Jax intervenes asking them not to argue in front of the children.

Georgia shoves Reverend Jax out of the way and he falls on the flaming sword of unselfishness! Blood pours from his abdomen. Or does it? Dwayne picks up the phone to report “the most epic prank ever”. Wayne is thrilled to learn that Reverend Jax is okay and that his friend is still in the prank game. He is even more impressed when he learns that the whole thing was Georgia’s idea. It looks like Wayne might not have to be the third wheel all the time.
