Killjoys Episode 7
Before we get to episode seven shall we see what’s happened in episodes 5-6.
Catchup checklist:
1. Dutch, Johnny and Davin find a way to take over the prison ship.
2. We find out Aneela has been. alive inside one of Khylins cubes
3. Khylin gets Gareds memory back to help Pree.
4. The alien babies are smart spider like creatures.
5. Johnny makes a ruse to make the lady believe everyone on the prisoner ship including Dutch and them is dead.
6. Everyone in old Westerly has been collected and taken to work at the factories.
On to the newest episode…
Arriving on Leith
Team awesome force plus Calvert arrive at the Leith army base only to discover that it doubles as a theme park.
Separating into teams of two
Dutch and D’avin
A pissed off D’avin (who is sickened by the military making a mockery of itself) and Dutch, try to stay inconspicuous as they wait for Johnny and Calvert to do what’s needed.
Tour guides?
As D’avin and Dutch look around, people believe they are part of the experience. As their in military gear.
Telling a little lie
After giving a moving fake tale about how Leith was found. A little kid calls them out. And as the adults they aren’t, D’avin and Dutch just call him a liar.
Found out
Some of the real army personal come over and arrest them. After complaints were made.
And after not being able to show ID. They get taken in and Calvert is no where to be found…
Johnny and Calvert
Before being caught and her running away. Calvert, as she has worked there, and knows the secret hand shakes gets them to the room they need in order to send out a signal to where Lucy was parked.
They were also trying to triangulate exactly where the Lady’s real body is being kept and in order to do that they needed the equipment there on Leith in order to get the signal to Lucy.
Escaping
As Johnny finds a way to get free, which involved a funny scene between the three of them, which starts with Dutch opening her legs and Johnny moaning.
He goes and finds Calvert.
Finding Calvert
When he finds her, she tells him about her daughter she hasn’t seen in eight years.
When she mentions she’s on Westerly, Johnny tells her everything.
A romantic moment
Dutch and D’avin have a romantic moment where they share their feelings. They find out they’re both scared of Johnny leaving once they solve everything.
Side note: in a previous episode Dutch tells Johnny he should go do Johnny stuff, and make himself happy.
But find out they both want each other around afterwards.
Saved by Johnny and Calvert
Showing up just at the right time. Johnny and Calvert get them out.
Finding Lucy
After escaping the army base, and ending up in a grassy knoll, Lucy lands – With Fancy and Zeph.
Wait how did that happen?
Let’s start with Fancy
Before seeing him landing with Lucy, we last see Fancy being held on the Armada ship.
Hearing a dog like sound
As Fancy hangs there in chains, the door opens and he hears a dog like sound.
Breaking free, we see him search for the sound.
As he searches, he finds the alien baby cocoons. He stops only for a second and then heads on to where the sound started to get louder.
Back in Zeph’s lab,
After leaving old Westerly, and going to the badlands with Pree and Turin, they return to where they studied one of the alien babies. Until it destroys their camera.
Zeph says she’s seen something like it before, but she has to go to her lab to do some research.
Finding Her Lab In Shambles
When her and Turin, get to her lab, they see it’s been destroyed but luckily the main computer parts were spared.
Trouble arrives
As Armada soldiers show up a gun battle begins. Leaving the soldiers dead. But at the same time the alien baby holder gets destroyed.
Making a break for it
Leaving through a roof hatch, her and Turin escape. And lock the door. But as they leave you can see the bolts coming unscrewed.
Locked away
As they escape, Turin pushes her into a building and locks the door. And tells her to take the tunnels to the Royale.
Back out onto the streets
Zeph finds her way back outside where she is saved by none other than Fancy.
Back to Lucy
As the others reconnect. Johnny goes up to the terminal, where he finds out Lucy is fully back online. And got his information about the schematics of the Armada ship.
A moment between man and machine
As Johnny looks over the information. Lucy jokes that Nucy is their child and that she has his eyes.
Making Johnny get flustered.
Gared and Pree
While all that is going on, Pree goes to find Gared and finds out that he has his memories
Angry
Justly so Gared is mad that once Pree got his memories back, that he didn’t also get Gareds memory back.
Letting out his vulnerable side
Pree lets Gared know that he’s sorry, but that he is so afraid to lose Gared because he is his life. And he couldn’t live without him.
It was great to see them make up at the end though. I can’t wait to see if they join the rest of the team.
The Lady and Khylin
After the death of Yala, Khylin has given up.
The lady tries
Though she has a long way to go, she tries to cheer him up by offering him a snack.
She than tries to get his attention by telling him about how she’s quickening the taraforming on Westerly.
Though it doesn’t work, it was nice to see these different sides of both Khylin and The Lady.
Final thoughts
This show gets better and better with each week. Though it still pains me that there’s only three more episodes.
