Scylla is very much alive and is being interrogated by General Alder. When that doesn’t go well, Anacostia tries to get in her head, literally.
Raelle is still worried and Tally is itching to tell her about Scylla’s Spree secret.
At training, the soldiers learning about linking, a valuable tool in combat. It not only can heal, but you can look into someone’s mind. The girl Raelle links with gives her a hard time and Raelle overpowers the whole room. The tutor tells her to master her emotions and let the army make her strong.
The boys are back at Fort Salem. General Alder and Witch Father discuss the future of the magical military. Gerit finds Tally and apologizes for not being honest with her but Tally blows him off. Raelle’s friend tells her to get her finger checked out, the mushroom thing she touched hasn’t gone away.
Abigail meets Adil who’s sister is ill in the infirmary and they become friendly, sort of. He tells her his people are being targeted and attacked. She can relate and tries to get him to see that Fort Salem is here to help Khalida. However his sister is infected by something powerful and the treatments aren’t working.
Abigail consults her unit to help Adil’s sister. Raelle, a gifted healer, try to save Khalida. At first it seems to get worse but the infection leaves her body. Khalida is cured. Instead of absorbing the infection like Raelle usually would, that mushroom thing seems to have taken it on.
To thank Abigail, Adil shows her his powers and they kiss. Gerit asks Tally if they can be friends and well, they end up kissing too.
Anacostia brings Raelle to Scylla and almost immediately takes her away to get Scylla to talk. Anacostia then links with Scylla to look into her past and how she came to become a member of the Spree. She was the girl in the pilot episode!!
The soldiers participate in a city drop. They need to pass or they can kiss war college goodbye.
General Alder learns Khalida’s songs. Khalida, however, doesn’t want to share.
