Legends of Tomorrow S4 Episode 6
Birthday present
The episode starts off with Sara going into Ava’s office wearing nothing but a trench coat with lingerie underneath.
But her surprise appearance for Ava’s Birthday gets cut short as Nates dad Henry comes in. Making Sara have to hide quickly.
He quickly tells her he’s concerned with the cost the Waverider is building up. So Ava has Nate take him to the Waverider to prove why they need all the things they have.
Take dad to work day
As Nate shows his dad around, Zari and Sara (who quickly got back to the ship) and others try to keep them away from the containment room. They don’t want Nate to see Charlie.
Henry’s dad isn’t impressed at first and thinks they have way to many people on board.
It doesn’t help they find Constantine meditating naked in the library.
As much as they try Nate ends up in the containment room where he sees Charlie and thinks it’s Amaya.
But Sara quickly clears it up and tells him the truth. But so Nates dad doesn’t suspect anything Charlie pretends to be Amaya.
Before anything else can mess up. Sara checks for any trouble in history. And sure enough there is in 1920s Paris.
This part of the episode was both funny and sad. The shenanigans where hilarious. But at the same time you could tell not only Nate was feeling like he no longer belonged there. And two, once again his dad is berating him.
Paris 1920s
Wanting to show Henry how a normal legends mission goes. Nate, Mick, Sara take him with them. And leave the others to do research on the Waverider.
While at a club they go to, an artist tells them about a Beast people have seen in a cave.
As they talk to him and get clues Henry’s dad sees Ernest Hemingway (played by Andrew Lees), his hero, and goes and sits down and talks and has beers with him.
I also find it interesting that they also run into F. Scott Fitzgerald ( played by Jason McKinnon) and his wife Zelda Fitzgerald (played by Meganne Young)
After Sara tells Henry about the monster that’s been seen, Him and Hemingway decide to go hunt it themselves. Against the advice of Nate and Sara.
I feel bad for Nate at this point because once again his father is once again ignoring his advice.
Shockingly the hunt doesn’t go well
So Nate, Henry, Sara and Mick go to the cave the monster was spotted and run into a Minotaur. And it doesn’t go well and Nates dad gets seriously injured.
A plan is made
As Nates father is healing. Constantine makes something that copies the scent of female Minotaur. And by looking through the library Nate figures out that the only way to stop it is to play it a song and loll it to sleep.
Hemingway becomes the hunted
Because Hemingway shot it while on their hunting mission the Minotaur comes and hunts the hunter.
Just as the Minotaur starts to attack The legends run in and Constantine gets its attention with the musk.
And Nate plays the Lute but it gets destroyed and the Minotaur starts destroying everything. And at one point is about to kill Nate.
But Henry comes to the rescue and picks up a guitar and sings it to sleep.
In the end Henry learns to respect Nates way of doing things. And the two bond more.
Sadly in the end Nate decides to not rejoin the Waverider to work at the borough. But Henry sees why the Legends need the funding they have and doesn’t fire anyone or cut funds.
Meanwhile…
Mona is annoying Ava by patronizing with the prisoners. And even threatens to fire her.
Things don’t get easier for Mona when Ray asks her to deliver a note to Nora for him.
Of course being the good person she is. She does, and as Nora tries not to accept it the fighting sets off the alarms.
But before they get shut in Ava comes in.
A bad situation becomes a bonding one
Well stuck in there the three decide to drink the wine that Mona had brought for Ava’s birthday.
And all three woman talk and become close. And even eat the cake Mona brought for Ava even though she didn’t want it at first.
After enough drinking Nora decides to open the letter and the prodding if the others and finds Ray stuck to the envelope tape. As he was trying to sneak his way in to see her. But got stuck
Nora gets annoyed but is happy. And Ray gets them out of the locked room.
The next day Ava shows Mona that she put together a rainforest theme for the caveman they have. And gives her permission to fraternize with the prisoners. And even deliver a note from Nora to Ray,
It was nice seeing the bonding of these three different woman, who came from vastly different upbringings become close and understand each other.
Can’t wait to see more of this growth and more of what’s in store for the legends.
