The Book of Blood: Chapter Three: The Sange
Can love conquer hate? That is the question running through everyone’s mind on this week’s episode.
Anya’s Tale
Finding the baby
When the episode starts Jefferson is still on his search for the baby. He lets Anissa know that his power is running low and he’s cutting communications for awhile. He is caught off guard and is captured by Lookers men.
Captured
Looker comes in and asks Jefferson where the baby is. He doesn’t answer and she has him electrocuted on the electric fence they have him locked up on in a basement.
Before she can ask again though, she has a vision of where the baby is and leaves, telling them to electrocute him till he’s dead which puts a smile on Jefferson’s face.
Power flowing
Once he’s fully powered up, and the guards think he’s dead, Jefferson breaks out, and finds the other baby.
While him and the baby are escaping, he finds a tracker beacon and automatically knows whom it belongs to.
Jefferson takes the baby to Captain Henderson to keep it safe and then heads over to help Anissa with Looker.
Thunder vs. Looker
After a talk with Anya about how no matter what, people always need their mothers, Thunder faces off with Looker.
After a very brief hand to hand fight between the two ladies, Thunder pushes Looker into a pipe, freeing the Sanjay from her grasp.
Jefferson’s growing cold
When Anissa asked her dad what he was going to do with Looker he said they would give her to the ASA. When Anissa brought up they experiment on Metas all he said was that it was her problem making Anissa pause for a minute.
A sad reunion
Anissa takes Anya home. Anya is afraid her parents still won’t accept her and the babies. When they return, they find out that her mother had been killed in the fight. After a very tense moment between her and her dad, he takes both the children in his arms, showing he accepts them both, and Anya and him mourn her mothers loss together.
Jennifer’s story begins
Feeling rejected
While talking with Perenna, whose helping Jennifer learn to control her powers, we find out Jennifer doesn’t feel like her parents understand her.
She also feels like her parents are ashamed of what she is even though her dad has powers too.
Khalil
Khalil calls Jennifer and tells her that Tobias is searching for him. She tells him to stay put and she would come and get him.
After scaring away Tobias’s goons with her powers, Jennifer reveals she has powers to Khalil.
On the road to self discovery
After chatting with Khalil about how he’s the only one who understands her, Jennifer decides to leave town with Khalil who is on the run trying to hide from Tobias.
Gambi is found
Gambi is drawing when a knock is heard at his hotel door. After checking who it was he opens the door to see Jefferson.
Jefferson says he doesn’t know whether to hug or punch Gambi. Gambi replies he can punch him if he wants.
Gambi tells Jefferson he faked his death because he doesn’t know who hired the hit on him, and he wanted to protect Jefferson and his family.
Jefferson stares directly at Gambi and says “when will you get it, you’re my family too” and gives him a hug.
Grace has a secret
The last couple episodes have shown us that Grace must have Meta abilities. She keeps having these episodes that she keeps taking medicine for to calm them down.
Final thoughts
I loved when Jefferson told Gambi he was family. I hate seeing those two fight and I hope it continues to go uphill from here.
Jefferson’s cold response to Looker though has me worried. He doesn’t seem like an uncaring person but that reaction might prove me wrong.
I’m sure this trip isn’t going to end well for either Khalil or Jennifer with Tobias on their tails.
I hope we see more of the fallout Lynn is going through from the pod kids. I feel like they wrapped it up without letting us see more of her dealing with it.
