What’s Love Got To Do With It?

5 Movies To Fix Your Relationship

Marriage is a long, difficult, and vital thing. And no one is able to know exactly what this thing is before they get
into one. Thus, you cannot truly get prepared for it, so you will just have to deal with the consequences. The
following movies will give us an opportunity to reflect on how a loving couple copes with a crisis in a relationship,
learns to adapt to each other, to hear one another and see an individual in a person near you. These things are
necessary to make love.

1. She’s Having a Baby

The most modern of a couple will perceive this movie as being naive and a bit old-fashioned, but it holds a lot of
meaning in it! The lovers get engaged, expecting that their life will not change at all in marriage – love will be
eternal, and the joy and feeling of happiness will never leave them. Alas, life shakes the family boat. The newlyweds
constantly doubt each other. Their friends only add fuel to the fire. The parents of the young wife are unhappy with
her choice, but the long-awaited pregnancy adds drama to the whole story! The film is about the question of who is
in charge – me, you or … we? If you want to watch some other great movies about love and relationships, then be sure to give this IMDb list a look. There are 60 great love dramas to be found there.

2.The Story of Us

This is the American version of marital discord after 15 years of marriage in the presence of two teenage children.
At first glance, both of them are involved in this crisis. But in fact, it’s not about them; it’s about their parent’s
teachings. In psychology, such “inner voices” are known as introjects. They are learned from significant adults,
primarily parents; they come from their attitudes, judgments, thoughts, emotions which act automatically around the
critical part of the consciousness of their children. How to understand this polyphony? Several family psychologists
are involved in this movie, yet they make the relationship even more confusing. It gets worse if you consider that
habits have accumulated over the years, and our characters are stubborn to change their ways. As a result, you have
to work on relationships yourself – to think, feel, learn to listen and hear, perceive, and believe.

3.It’s Complicated

After many years, the former spouses finally can calmly communicate with each other “like friends” and try to
maintain neutrality; after all, they have three common adult children. But something remains unsaid, unlived, not
giving rest to both of them. Perhaps this “something” is related to what they have become? Or with the fact that
children grew up, and you can live again for yourself? Or is it about sex? Self-esteem? Is it about trying to get back
together? This seemingly easy melodrama dives deep into the idea that while two people may no longer be together, but they still are a part of each other. You should enjoy this movie with a person you love. 4.Hope Springs

A very mature couple, a housewife and a businessman, are so used to each other that one perceives the other as part
of themselves. And the other one completely disagrees with this state of affairs and tries to revive the relationship.
The plot may seem too optimistic and even contrived, but you should remember that love doesn’t go away with age.
This movie is not about old people trying to find something new in their relationships despite their age. Whether you
are 20 or 65, you can still experience surprise, delight, passion – you just need to open yourself up to these emotions,
not to hide away from them.

5. Amour

This is the drama about love at the sunset of life. This is a story about a life-long marriage that went through crises,
disagreements, and raising children together. They are trying to stay together and enjoy each other, to do everything
together, yet all of these hopes are overshadowed by the wife’s rapidly progressing illness. The husband is desperate
because his beloved loses the opportunity not only to move but also to think. This is a very sad story because, in the
end, while you may have had spent your whole lives together, fighting and yelling at each other, and now it seems
like the best time to look back at it all and smile, your partner is on their way to the afterlife. The movie is about
eternal feelings, about memories and the ability to accept each other’s differences.
