The Purge is a 10 episode television event. The series premiere airs September 4th, 10/9 C, on USA Network.
Based on the horror franchise of the same name from Blumhouse Productions, The Purge is set in an altered America and follows seemingly unrelated characters as they try to survive this terrifying night when everything is legal—including murder.
The Purge is written and executive produced by franchise creator, James DeMonaco. Also on board: Jason Blum (producer), Michael Bay with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form under the Platinum Dunes banner, Sebastien K. Lemercier, Thomas Kelly (showrunner), and Anthony Hemingway (director).
Cast includes Gabriel Chavarria, Hannah Anderson, Lili Simmons, William Baldwin, Colin Woodell, Amanda Warren, Jessica Garza, Lee Tergesen, and Fiona Dourif.
So I have to ask: If The Purge were real, if we had one night where everything was legal, what would you do? Is there something you’d like to purge yourself of, something you’re dying to get out of your system? Or would you lock your doors and pray for the morning light? Me? I’m finding me a good hiding spot.
