A New Show From ABC!
Norman Bates may be off to the other side with Mother, but Freddie Highmore is back, and this time around he’s not a killer—he’s a healer.
The Good Doctor, from David Shore (House) and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O), is coming to ABC this fall.
Although the series is a Medical Procedural, The Good Doctor puts a fresh spin on the genre. Freddie Highmore is Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome who joins the pediatric surgical unit of a prestigious hospital. Shaun is a brilliant surgeon and uses his extraordinary gifts to save lives, while his difficulty relating personally to other people, and his unique perspective on the world, presents a challenge for his peers and adds deeper levels of conflict and meaning to the show.
The series will also star Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Irene Keng, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, and Richard Schiff.
