The Good Doctor Season 2 Finale!
The world is right again. Shaun got his job back! Finally, a season finale that ends on a happy note.
The Big Story
Let’s go ahead and get to Shaun because I can’t contain my joy! Yes, Shaun is back!
It’s time to say goodbye to Dr. Han. Sorry, not sorry. After a brawl with a guy at a bar, that ended up with Shaun and the guy both in the hospital but Shaun ultimately saving his life (in a roundabout way), Glassman gave a passionate plea before the board, and Andrews decided to fire Dr. Han and reinstate our favorite surgeon. I feel like we’ve been put through the wringer these last few episodes, but at least we can all breathe now.
Love is in the Air
Romance is springing up all over the place!
- Lim and Melendez announced that they have been “approved” and when asked what that means, they demonstrate with a passionate kiss for everyone to see! I seriously love these two together, but I worry that trouble is coming for them because after Dr. Han was sent packing, Lim was promoted to Chief of Surgery, which means she is now the boss, and this could possibly put a strain on the relationship. But we’ll see.
- Dr. Glassman proposed to Debbie! She turned him down at first, but eventually said yes! Go, Glassy!
- And Shaun, taught by Claire how to ask a woman for a date, gets all dressed up, buys flowers and chocolate, and takes them to—Carly. Yep, you heard that right. Not Lea, who we thought he was about to ask out (she thought it, too, up until Shaun walked out), and not Claire, who were all secretly hoping for. Shaun walked right up to Carly’s doorstep and asked her out like a champ! And she accepted. Nice, I like it. I really like Carly and even though I don’t think the relationship will go anywhere, I can’t think of a nicer person for Shaun to go out with.
- Dr. Parks also got a few nudges about his relationship with his wife from a patient this week. Hopefully we’ll see more of his family storyline in season 3.
After an incredibly tense season, it was pretty awesome to have the finale end on such a high. Kudos to the writers! And a huge thank you to Daniel Dae Kim for bringing us Dr. Han, who we all loved to hate so much!
