SCAD TVfest returns for its 11th year selecting Sarah Michelle Gellar as recipient of the Icon Award.

Mark your calendars for the 2023 SCAD TVfest February 9-11 in Midtown Atlanta. Television enthusiasts will gather for the in-person event, which will include screenings, panel discussions, awards and more. The festival recently revealed that the recipient of the Icon Award will be fan favorite Sarah Michelle Gellar.

“Sarah Michelle Gellar is a trailblazer in the field of television. An actor who speaks to many generations, she epitomizes what it means to be a television icon.” – Christina Routhier, executive director of SCAD TVfest

Sarah Michelle Gellar will be on hand to receive her award and participate in a panel discussion for a screening of her new Paramount+ series, Wolf Pack. Gellar not only stars in the series but also serves as Executive Producer. No stranger to the supernatural genre having starred in the very popular show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the actor steps into the paranormal world once again in Wolf Pack.

Wolf Pack premieres January 26th on Paramount+. The show is based on books by novelist Edo Van Belkom and introduces viewers to teenagers experiencing the aftermath of a California wildfire. The fire unleashes a supernatural creature, and the teenagers feel a unique connection to one another. A full moon sheds light on a shared secret among these particular teens – werewolf bites and blood.

The Wolf Pack screening is just one of many viewings and panel discussions included in this year’s SCAD TVfest. The full schedule will be announced on Friday, January 27th. Festival passes for individual days, or the entire festival will also be available for purchase beginning January 27th. Tickets for individual events will go on sale starting February 1st. Online purchases can be made at the SCAD TVfest website.
