Delilah cast and creator introduce fans to the new legal drama at SCAD aTVfest.

Fans were eager for the facts about OWN’s new series Delilah from Greenleaf creator Craig Wright. Wright was joined at the SCAD aTVfest panel by actors Maahra Hill and Jill Marie Jones as well as Delilah writer Devan Renea. The panel was hosted by 11 Alive’s Francesca Amiker.

Who:

What:

Fans enjoyed some exclusive clips from the upcoming series. We can tell you that Delilah season 1 appears to focus on a strained relationship between Delilah and Tamara when it looks like the the two will be representing opposing clients. The stakes look high, not only between the two friends, but for Delilah’s client who is being followed.

Expect to see Delilah juggling work, her children, an ex-spouse and her brother who is facing difficult times.

Creator Craig Wright described the genesis of the story as an opportunity for viewers to see that black women are really the ones that hold it all together in all facets of their lives. These women are not typically portrayed as such and Wright wants to shed light on all that they do and the power within them.

Where:

The story is set in Charlotte, NC.

When:

Delilah premieres on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) in March 2021.
