The Brave – One Year Later!

Remember that Monday night one year ago? September 25, 2017 – a new show hit our television sets. The Brave. Something about the DIA and this special military team and resilience and blah blah blah.

Except, it wasn’t that. It was a show dedicated to getting it right. The characters, the story, the actions, the emotions – A well crafted television show that never received the chance it deserved.

It was also a television show that did so much more than entertain… It inspired people. People donated to veteran campaigns, spent time with our nation’s veterans, used the stories and resilience found in the show to overcome obstacles in their own lives. It brought people together. No, really… it brought people together. Friends for life. Relationships and bonds created that probably would have never happened if The Brave never existed.

(On a totally selfish note: I’ve met some frickin AMAZING people because of this show – and there’s quite a few that do some amazing work for So Many Shows now! Dean, did you want a finder’s fee?)

Remember the cast:

Mike Vogel as Capt. Adam Dalton
Anne Heche as DIA Deputy Director Patricia Campbell
Demetrius Grosse as Ezekiel Carter or “Preach”
Natacha Karam as Jasmine Khan or “Jaz”
Noah Mills as Joseph McGuire or “McG”
Hadi Tabbal as Amir Al-Raisani
Sofia Pernas as Hannah Archer
Tate Ellington as Noah Morgenthau

Remember when…

So many fun things happened when fans came together. How many of these do you remember and what were some of your favorites?

Remember voting 24 hours a day during our “Renew The Brave” campaign? What about our weekly “Brave Radio” where we all looked forward to Dean coming on – and maybe learning something more…

What about the community of “Bravers” that didn’t just campaign for the show – but for each other? If someone was down or needed something – someone was always there.

How about unicorns and that infamous “Precious Group Chat?” It’s STILL going to this day.

Heck, I even found Mike – my radio partner, fellow Fireball fanatic, and good friend.

And Dean Georgaris – Who not only has been amazingly gracious with his time, but has become a good friend as well.

A lot of memories were created for a lot of people.  So on behalf of all of us out there… Thank you, The Brave.

What Now?

We, unfortunately, will never be lucky enough to have another season… or follow-up movie… or anything else to continue the story… BUT we will always have a show that did things right. A show with cast and creatives that took time to spend with their fans – and appreciated us almost as much as we appreciated them. A fantastic show, a great message, and so many memories…

One year ago we were treated to something amazing. Happy “Anniversary” Bravers…

Don’t just remember The Brave, Be Brave.
