In Fallout episode 1 we get a glimpse of the nuclear event that has some fleeing to vaults beneath the surface. Fast forward to meet Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul in their respective settings. Lucy leaves Vault 33, the only home she has ever known, for a particular mission. Maximus leaves on a mission for the Brotherhood of Steel while The Ghoul gets a “wake-up” call and learns of a bounty. Lucy’s fellow Vault 33 dwellers are left to deal with the aftermath of attack.
The story unfolds with events occurring above and below the surface.
