How well do you know Council of Dads?
Council of Dads on NBC was inspired by Bruce Feiler’s book of the same name. In the television series, beloved father Scott Perry plans a “council of dads” for his family when his cancer becomes very aggressive. Scott chooses 3 important men in his life to extend their help to the grieving family. He asks them to commit to one year.
As sad as the premise is, the show really focuses on moving forward and choosing to find joy amidst the hard times. Scott’s wife Robin and children Luly, Theo, Charlotte, JJ and baby Hope find support, and occasionally frustration, from the dads. The dads, in turn, face challenges in their own lives and receive love right back from the Perrys.
