Are you ready for Tracy Buckles?

Tracy Buckles

Award winning fantasy web series, Tracy Buckles

Fantasy Web Series:  TRACY BUCKLES

From writer and director, Robin Nyström, get ready for a fantasy web series you probably don’t want to miss… Tracy Buckles. It’s a mystically comedic journey with enough “magic” and spunk to keep you wanting more.

Hint: Don’t let the cute fonts fool you on their promo materials… This isn’t for kids.

Case in point:

How about this line from episode 1?

I’ve never even had chlamydia, and now i have… magical AIDS?

If that doesn’t make you wonder what the heck is going on in this web series… nothing will. The spiritual silliness starts from the moment you click play – and continues through the entire series.

So, what’s it about?

Direct from the minds behind Tracy Buckles:

In a world where spells and potions are commonplace, a young woman named Tracy Buckles is struck by a despicable curse that prevents other people from hearing her voice. She joins forces with nameless drifter who suffers from an unfortunate case of invisibility, and a bumbling wannabe wizard of questionable talent. Together, they must stand up to a powerful witch who doles out demonic curses and blunt insults in equal measures. The fantasy comedy series Tracy Buckles tells a story of magical misadventures across 6 fast-paced episodes.

Some details…

It’s only 6 episodes – not quite 5 minutes each. You can watch them on their website (www.tracybuckles.com) or you can watch the episodes on vimeo. It’s premiered at a number of different film festivals and won a few awards including one for Best Produced Series.

The series stars Ana Lake, Macie Wilson, Sergio Gavidia, Gale McNeeley, and Rosh Wright.

I should reiterate – this isn’t for little kids. There’s the occasion F-bomb, C U Next Tuesday, and some references to adult situations.  Admit it, that just sold you, didn’t it?

And after you watch… Is that Jerry Garcia or is it just me?

So… Worth watching?

Yes! Wickedly good fun!

The creators did a great job putting this all together and the cast performs well. Ana is a gem and I look forward to some big things from her.

Is it super serious? Mega-dramatic? No, but it’s not meant to be. It only takes about 30 minutes to get through the series – and if you’re looking for some magic with a comedic kick – it’s well worth your time.

Plenty of laughs, some pretty kick-ass spells, and a cast that will surely entertain you… Robin Nyström has created a small masterpiece you’re destined to enjoy.

Bravo, Tracy Buckles… Well done.
